Michelle Mitchell’s story is one of perseverance, faith, and community.
Adopted by a military family and raised near a base in Kansas, Michelle grew up with a deep respect for service. She carried those values into adulthood, raising six children while building a career as both a small business owner and community leader.
Michelle co-owned a computer business before opening Family Fun Ice Cream Parlor, a shop she started with just $800 and grew into an award-winning gathering place. Her shop became known not just for ice cream, but for family game nights, community conversations, and youth-focused events. In 2023, she was honored as the Kentucky Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year and received the Kentucky Pace Setter Award for entrepreneurship and community impact.
In addition to business, Michelle has dedicated herself to service. She recently served as the 2025 President of the Radcliff Small Business Alliance, where she has expanded membership with 54 new members and created new opportunities for entrepreneurs. As a former City Councilwoman, she has brought energy, creativity, and accountability to local government.
Michelle is a proud mother and grandmother. Her children’s lives reflect her values: military service, public ministry, and community leadership. Her family — though marked by both joys and trials — remains close-knit and inspires her commitment to building strong families across Radcliff.
Through it all, Michelle has remained true to her belief: leadership is about people, not politics. With integrity, compassion, and courage, she is ready to serve as Mayor of Radcliff.
